UX Designer and Researcher

Hi, I am Chaitrali, . My background in Information Technology Engineering makes me an amazing problem solver. However, being passionate about art since a young age always made me look at problems from a creative perspective. I always wanted to bring out the creative aspect through problem-solving and there was no better field than UX for it.
I am very fueled by my passion to balance my technical and creative skills to come up with innovative design solutions to solve users' problems. Currently, I am balancing these skills by pursuing Masters in User Experience Design and Research at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. I have worked with different non-profit organizations which makes me a very caring person making me really good at empathizing with the users. I want to bring a change in the world of User Experience by innovating new techniques and am up for any challenge that comes my way.
I interned as a Human-Centered Designer this summer at Cummins Inc. where I worked on impactful projects that would bring a change in the working of the organization. I provided insights from external and internal research for the Human-Centered Design team that would improve the human-centered design training that they provide. I used human-centered design methodology to improve the functioning of a non-profit organization. This project is going to serve as a business model highlighting impact of Human-Centered Design which would lead to an increase in utilization of Human-Centered Design methodology.
Currently, I am working as a Graduate Student Instructor for Models of Social Information Processing course.
